Melissa Callahan

Bombshells was established in San Diego, circa 2007. In 2012 I relocated to Hampton, VA and found myself working at an Aveda salon. During my time at various Hampton Roads Aveda salons, I immersed myself into the Aveda brand taking countless hours of education to better myself, my skills and stay on trend with services provided. I eventually expanded to become a Certified Color Educator, Aveda Brand Ambassador, Director of Education and Director of Social Media and Marketing. In 2022, I took the opportunity to grow my business by moving into a private suite. The shift to a private space has allowed me to refine my own brand, so while I am still using environmentally concious products and living a mission that “cares for the world we live in”, I am now able to offer some services and amenities that were restricted before.

I specialize in fully customized color, blonding and haircuts- with a subtle metaphysical vibe. Adding to my typical salon services, I now offer Reiki treatments and occasionally I offer complimentary Tarot readings. My goal for Bombshells by Melissa is to ultimately provide an authentic and fully customized salon experience, while providing a safe and inclusive space to each client. I know how hard it is to find a stylist you are comfortable with; I understand that trust is a key to easing your anxiety about a new salon or hairstyle. I will do my best to educate each client so you can take ownership of your hair health and goals- not just in the salon, but also at home between visits. Life is busy enough without searching for the right service provider; Life is hard enough without feeling uncomfortable with the way you look. I will do my best to be the stylist that puts an end to your search, and I strive to be the stylist to give you the hair of your dreams.
